I have attended classes at both OCAD and the Toronto School of Art and enjoy painting, potting and sculpture.

I only discovered the encaustic medium in the last few years, but I experienced an instant and visceral connection. The layering of colour and texture is expansive, but it also has some inherent limitations -- this often results in happy accidents that make me work in a freer and more spontaneous style.

Although I reside in Toronto, much of my leisure time is spent in Prince Edward County and most of my work is inspired by its beautiful surroundings.
